| The
Rest Room, or Cooling Room was used to acclimatise yourself after using
the Turkish Baths. It
is lavishly decorated with floor to ceiling tiles, including molded tiles, decorative
stained glass windows and a paneled ceiling. This area has seen a lot
of business transacted over the years - both good and bad! |

The stained glass windows in the Rest Room depict romantic scenes and in the centre of the bay window a figure that we have called the Angel of Purity. We believe that the stained glass at Victoria Baths was made by William Pointers, a family firm that operated from premises in Grosvenor Street until the 1960's. Photograph by David Montford |
