The Males 1st Class / Gala pool was, of course, the largest and smartest of the three pools at Victoria Baths.  It has the traditional layout with changing cubicles along each side and measures 25 yards x 40 feet.

As well as being the pool for the men and boys who could afford to pay the higher price for a swim, it provided top class gala facilties.  The original gala seating is still in place and now provides dramatic views for a wide variety of events.
