A special Open Day for the bank holiday weekend which includes a Fanzine Fair - so this is an opportunity to explore Victoria Baths and the world of Fanzines at the same event. Fanzine makers from around the region will have stalls for you to browse, and a number of linked special activities will be taking place:
- Film showing: Helpyourself Manchester by Castles Built in Sand collective at 1pm and 3pm
- Display of gig flyers featured in Helpyourself Manchester
- A Musical Tour of Victoria Baths by David Carden at 2pm
- Talk by John Mather, author of the Pictorial Guide to Greater Manchester Swimming Pools at 2.30pm
- Hands-on workshop activity with Pool Arts - all afternoon
- 5 minute portraits by David Carden - most of the afternoon

Stalls at the Fair are £10 and a booking form is downloadable below.
We are also delighted to welcome Ordsall Acapella Singers back to Victoria Baths for this Open Day. They will perform in the Gala pool with its wonderful acoustics at 1.30pm and 3pm.

All tours are £3 (gift aid price £3.50). No need to book in advance, just buy your tour pass on the day. See below for details of the different tours.
Our cafe will be open selling hot food and drinks and a selection of home-made cakes.
Our Gift Shop will also be open selling a great variety of items including books and handmade crafts.
"Getting to Know Victoria Baths" will be led by an experienced guide, showing you the amazing architecture of Victoria Baths and telling you about its history. You will hear how the Baths was used, including the memories of its bathers, and find out about the BBC Restoration win in 2003 and how the money was spent. We'll also tell you the plans for the future and how you can get involved.
"Behind the Scenes" takes you to lesser known parts of Victoria Baths as well as the iconic spaces in the main building. You will visit the boiler house and filter room and hear about pool water treatment through the ages. The tour visits the undercroft of the pools and several spaces that have been used as TV locations, including filming for Life on Mars and Mrs Biggs You will learn about plans for the future restoration of the Baths and how you can become involved. Please note that this tour involves slopes and uneven steps and floors so is less suitable for visitors with limited mobility.
