Discover the colourful history of Victoria Baths with this entertaining musical tour, written and performed by singer songwriter Black Jack Barnet. He will delight visitors with tales of swimming in recycled water in the Females pool, budding romance in the Baths and the achievements of our Channel swimming heroine Sunny Lowry.
The building is open 12-4pm and performances take place at 12.40pm, 1.40pm and 2.40pm lasting 30-40mins. This is also an opportunity to view the building.
Our cafe will be open for hot and cold drinks and light refreshments.
Today's event is free thanks to support from Arts Council England and we are linking up with five other Manchester heritage venues in this Creative Threads event as part of Manchester Histories Festival.
You can hop on a vintage bus and visit Chetham's Library, the Pankhurst Centre, the Working Class Movement Library, Manchester Jewish Museum and the Museum of Transport. Artists will be performing at all these venues on the day.
Details of all the events and the bus times are on the Creative Threads flyer which you can download below.
