"A most interesting visit - some excellent stained glass - shows that the Victorians and early Edwardians lived in great splendour. Tour guides were very well informed and friendly!"

OPEN DAY and Swim for Restoration
14 May 2017 11:00 -16:00
Adults: Admission £4, Admission & Guided Tour £7 (standard prices £3/£6) FREE for under 16s and VB Friends
We have public swimming on Sunday 14 May for the first time in 24 years! Everyone who comes to the Open Day can view the swimming and no booking is required for attending the Open Day.
NOTE: All tickets for swimming are now sold out.
The Open Day is a great opportunity to explore Victoria Baths, and, on this rare occasion, experience it being used for its orginal purpose, swimming.
Our Tea Room will be serving a selection of refreshments, including sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold drinks. Hot Vimto and Bovril available for swimmers!
We're also delighted to be joined this month by The Hip Hop Chip Shop, with their hip hop inspired food truck selling the perfect accompaniment to swimming, fish and chips!
Our Gift Shop will also be open selling a great variety of items including books and handmade crafts.
Guided tours will take place as follows (no need to book in advance, buy your tour ticket on the day):
12 noon Discover Victoria Baths
1pm Discover Victoria Baths
2pm Off Limits
2.30pm Discover Victoria Baths
Discover Victoria Baths shows you the amazing architecture of the building and its history. Hear how the building was used, including memories of its bathers, plus find out about the 2003 BBC Restoration win and how the money was spent. We'll also tell you the plans for the future and how you can get involved.
Off Limits* takes you to lesser known parts of the building Baths as well as the main iconic spaces. You will visit the boiler house and filter room and hear about pool water treatment through the ages. The tour visits the undercroft of the pools and several spaces that have been used for TV filming, including Life on Mars and Mrs Biggs.
* Please note that this tour involve stairs and uneven floors and so isn't suitable for visitors with limited mobility.
