Turkish Rest Room
9 Apr 2017 10:00 -13:00
Adults: £25 for three hours - includes free admission to the Open Day
The Victoria Baths Photography Workshop is led by Aidan O’Rourke, tutor, photographer and writer, who has been involved with the Baths since 1998.
On the workshop you will have a unique opportunity to photograph the interior of this remarkable building.
As part of a small group you will have privileged access to many interesting and visually appealing areas, including some not normally open to the public. You can also photograph the public Open Day and Heritage Fair which runs from 11am and includes, this month only, steam traction engines.
There is no formal instruction on the workshop. You are encouraged to explore the building and take photographs at your own pace.
Aidan will chat to participants individually, asking and answering questions as well as offering feedback and suggestions.
On some workshops a model may be available. Those who would like to photograph the model are requested to make an additional contribution to cover the modelling fee. Please enquire in advance for more information.
The workshop is suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced. Any type of camera is suitable. A tripod will be useful for taking photos in low light conditions.
The cost of the workshop is £25 paid in cash on the day. The workshop runs until 1pm, after which you are welcome to stay and enjoy the Open Day (no further admission payable).
The VB Gift Shop and Tea Room are open 11am to 4pm.
Further information and booking details are on the link below. These photo workshops take place at most of our Sunday Open Days.
