Adults: £25 for three hours - includes free admission to the Festive Winter Fair
A Photography Workshop led by Aidan O’Rourke (tutor, photographer and writer), a supporter of Victoria Baths since 1998.
The workshop is designed to give participants a unique opportunity to photograph the interior of this remarkable building, including one hour before doors open to the general public. As part of a small group you will have privileged access to many interesting and visually appealing areas, some of which are not normally open to the public. You can also photograph the Festive Winter Fair, which starts at 11am and includes performances from The Gallery Choir, guided building tours and 50 artisan and craft stalls to browse.
There is no formal instruction on the workshop. You are encouraged to explore the building and take photographs at your own pace. Aidan will chat to participants individually, asking and answering questions as well as offering feedback and suggestions.
On some workshops a model may be available. Those who would like to photograph the model are requested to make an additional contribution to cover the modelling fee. Please enquire in advance for more information.
The workshop is suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced. Any type of camera is suitable. A tripod will be useful for taking photos in low light conditions.
The cost of the workshop is £25 paid in cash on the day. The workshop runs until 1pm, after which you are welcome to stay and enjoy the Festive Fair (no further admission payable).
Victoria Baths Gift Shop and Tea Room are open 11am to 4pm.
Further information and booking details are on the link below. This is the final workshop and Open Day for 2018, the building will re-open for visitors after a winter break in April 2019.
