Heritage Open Day
15 Sep 2021 11:00 -16:00
Join us on Wednesday 15th September for our annual Heritage Open Day - it's open house at one of Manchester's most unique historic buildings.
- Explore the whole building, including three swimming pools, a Turkish Baths and the former Superintendent's Flat, all beautifully tiled, with stained glass windows and mosaic flooring throughout
- Visit our exhibition "The People's Water Palace" to find out more about the people who used to visit, work and live here, the restoration of the building and plans for the future
- Visit the Gift Shop for cards, mugs, tea towels and lots more - every purchase supports the work of Victoria Baths
- Enjoy a cup of tea, a sandwich, snack or a cake in the Tea Room
Entry to the building is FREE and everyone's welcome, so just turn up and pop in - we can't wait to see you here.
We take the safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff very seriously. We're asking visitors to wear a face covering when inside the building and we have additional cleaning measures and hand sanitisers in place. Fortunately our building is nice and spacious and has good ventilation.
Guided Building Tours are also available during the day - there's a ticketing link for pre-booking at the bottom of this page. Admission to the Tour is £7 (standard price without optional donation is £6) and Friends of Victoria Baths / Under 16s go FREE - please pre-book a ticket for every member of your party, whether free or paid. Tours often sell out, but any spare places will be available to book on the day itself if you haven't pre-booked.
Remember, you can look around the building yourself from 11am until 4pm and it's FREE. There is no need to take a Guided Tour.
