Visit

We are open from March to November for public visits and events, on the dates listed on our Events page. The building is unheated, so we can’t open on chillier days and only Assistance Dogs are allowed in the building please.

Outside these times we can only facilitate public access to the building for booked private tours or events. To check if we’re open on a certain date please call us on 0161 224 2020 (9am – 4pm).

Sign up to our mailing list using the enquiries form below, to be first to hear about all our events. You can also join us over on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram to see what we’re up to day-to-day, looking after the building and planning for the future. Keep checking back for new event announcements.

How to Get Here

Please use the Traveline or TfGM planner for your journey.

By Bus

Nearest Bus Stop is the 50 which runs from Manchester City Centre. Get off just after the crossroads of Upper Brook Street and Hathersage Road. Walk east along Hathersage Road to the Baths (5 minutes). Other buses from Piccadilly Gardens include the 41, 44, 48, 192.

By Train

From Piccadilly Station Catch the 192 from the stop on London Road near the Fairfield Street entrance and get off opposite Plymouth Grove West. Walk down Plymouth Grove West and Hathersage Road (approx 1/2 mile). Alternatively, you can catch a taxi from the train station (Fairfield Street entrance).

From Oxford Road Station Catch any of the buses heading south out of town on Oxford Road numbered 41, 44, 48 or 147. Get off opposite Whitworth Park, next to St Mary’s Hospital, (after MCR Royal Infirmary). Walk down Hathersage Road in front of St Mary’s Hospital, crossing over traffic lights. It is about 1/2 mile to the Baths from the bus stop.

From Victoria Station
Take the MetroLink tram* to either Piccadilly Station and continue as described above or to St Peter’s square and catch a number 50 bus.

*You can travel free on Metrolink trams in the city zone if you have bought a rail ticket for travel from any Greater Manchester station to Piccadilly, Victoria, Deansgate or Oxford Road. Your rail tickets should show Manchester CTLZ as its destination and applies to most tickets.  Click here for more information.

Car Parking

There is an enclosed car park at the rear of the building, reached via Bax Road down the left hand side of the building as you face it. Do not to park outside of the enclosed area as this is private land and you may be issued with a parking ticket. Blue badge holders may park directly in front of the building. Otherwise there is on-street parking on Hathersage Road.

By Bicycle

Download a map below (Cycle Routes to VB) showing cycle routes in Manchester (on the second page), with the location of Victoria Baths marked with a green star (in the centre of the map). The thin purple lines are cycle paths and less busy roads. There is a dedicated journey planner for cycles here and Google maps have a cycle route overlay here with the location of Victoria Baths marked with a red pin (in the centre of the map).

There are bicycle racks at the front of the building.
