Women's Week Walks

Groups and individuals were invited to take part in a Guided walk around Chorlton-on-Medlock to celebrate International Women's Week. This was devised by the Victoria Baths Trust, Gaskell House and Meet The Locals and supported by Manchester City Council.

The walk was FREE and Open to all and guides led people along the route on
Sunday March 5th
and
Wednesday March 8th

You can carry out the walk yourself at any time. Simply download a copy of the illustrated map here.

The theme of the walk is Women, Health and Nature in Manchester
The walk takes in Victoria Baths, Gaskell House, the original Manchester High School for Girls and the Pankhurst Centre.

The walk takes 1 to 2 hours depending on how many stops are made - some of the buildings are open with exhibitions and refreshments.

You can also download a free audio version of the trail HERE . The audio trail will take a few minutes to download but we think you will find it very interesting to listen to.

Victoria Baths is on Hathersage Road, Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester, M13 OFE.Click here to view map.

There is ramped access to the entrance and most of the building can be seen from the ground floor. There are limited toilet facilities (no disabled toilet).
